or Belawan, Sumatra. Note the Pilgrim Ports in the hull. The ship was designed
to take part in the haji trade, carrying Muslim pilgrims from Singapore and
Malaya to Jidda, Saudi Arabia, but I don't think she ever actually did so
unless you count one trip when the Sultan of Selangor took over all the
passenger cabins for himself and his retinue to make their pilgrimage.
Agamemnon was much the same size as Autolycus, and when I sailed on her in 1947
she carried 1,250 pilgrims in tween decks and centrecastle.
